About Google Calendar & Contacts 

Connect with your Google Contacts in order to sync your google contacts with Aligned, giving you the ability to share, mention and assign people instantly without remembering or copying their emails.

Adding new people will be just a breeze.

Connect with your Google Calendar in order to add automatic personal signatures to your meeting description and room links whenever a meeting is happening between you and a visitor of your room.

Engage with your clients and give them access to your rooms directly from their calendar event.

Prerequisites

The integrating user must have an active google account (i.e. Google Mail).

Integration Scope

Integration is done individually on a user by user basis.

Permissions

Aligned app will need read only access to the following elements in order to import Google email contacts:

  • contacts.readonly
  • contacts.other.readonly.

 

In order to sync with Google Calendar and add room links and signature to events Aligned app will need read and write access to the following element:

  • calendar.events

Integration Setup

In order to enable Google Accounts integration, each user who wishes to do so can:

  1. Press Integrate on the top left of this page.
  2. Or go to My Account > Settings > Integrations.
  3. Press Connect.
  4. Once connected, you will see the Settings and Disconnect buttons.
  5. From now on, all your Google contacts will be available throughout the system whenever you need them.
  6. In addition, calendar events will show your personal signature and details.
  7. When a meeting occurs with an invitee or a known visitor of your room, a link to the room will be added to the event as well.
  8. You can always press the Settings button and decide whether you want to sync the contacts or add the room links to your meetings.
