An Agent That Runs the Deal With You: Introducing the Aligned Seller Agent

A few years ago, Aligned made a promise that sounded more like science fiction than reality. I told investors that one day AI would understand every sales deal, tell the rep what to do next, and answer buyer questions on its own, right inside the room.

That promise is now table stakes.

AI drafts, researches and reasons faster than any rep can, and nearly every seller uses it. Yet it barely shows up in the number that matters most: win rates.

To combat that, our new Seller Agent is now live in beta across every Aligned plan. But the launch isn’t the full story. The real story is why sales AI stalled, what it takes to fix it, and why the answer has to live inside the deal.

Sales AI Has an Execution Problem

AI adoption is everywhere: more than half of sellers already use AI agents, yet reps still spend only about 30% of their week selling, juggling eight or more tools on a single deal. AI was supposed to close that gap, but it has instead hit several walls.

  • AI doesn’t know the deal. Every sales AI meets your deal for the first time, every time. When you connect an assistant through MCP and ask a question, and it rereads 34 calls and 212 emails for 20 minutes, answers, then forgets all of it by tomorrow. On a six-month deal with 100 calls, the context window fills, and the model starts cutting corners. This might mean dropping an email that went unanswered for three weeks, or missing that the CFO joined a call late. It never learns your buyer, your reps or your playbook.
  • Your AI can’t act. Somewhere over the past two years, roles flipped, and reps became their AI’s assistant. The AI thinks, and the rep pastes the draft into Word, rebuilds the deck in Google Slides, updates the plan in Excel, hunts for content in Google Drive and then drops it into an email. “Copilot” is the wrong word if reps are still flying solo.
  • AI is rarely a team system. While AI use among reps is common, it’s also common to find 20 reps running 20 different AI workflows. It leads to off-brand decks reaching buyers, deal files landing in personal AI accounts, and leadership seeing none of it. When a rep discovers something that works, it often dies quietly in their chat history.

Deals Run Between Meetings

Deals happen in the emails, files and links that pass between buyers and sellers. Gartner reports that buyers spend just 17% of their purchasing journey meeting with suppliers. That means everything else, from the budget debates to the business case to the security review, happens without you in the room.

That’s what Aligned was built for. Five years ago, we pioneered the digital sales room category, and earlier this year, we evolved it into the AI Deal Workspace.

The Seller Agent completes that vision.

It’s the first agent that lives where the deal runs, a shared workspace your buyer opens. A rep asks for an update, and a minute later the room their buyer sees is current. There’s no need to export files, copy and paste content or switch between multiple tools. The Seller Agent does four jobs in one conversation:

  • Consult: Ask the deal anything; the agent is like a VP of sales available around the clock, grounded in every call, email and buyer move. It will tell a rep a deal is early-stage and unqualified, or that their strongest value point landed before the pain was confirmed.
  • Execute: One prompt can drive bulk changes across sections, content, tabs and the mutual action plan, turning trimming a 40-minute job down to a minute. Every change is proposed first, linked so you can see exactly what happened and applied only when you approve it.
  • Automate: Set standing instructions once per deal. After every call, the room updates itself, a change-log email goes out and any edit can be reverted in one click.
  • Create: Vibe-code what the deal needs, whether it’s building an ROI calculator the CFO will use, a live deck or a pricing page, all on brand and delivered inside the room.

In practice, a rep ends a discovery call and asks the agent to wrap it up. The agent summarizes the call, recommends next steps and proposes changes to the room. When the rep says yes, it then offers to build a two-page competitive comparison using an approved asset from the content library. Ten weeks later, it might flag that the CFO viewed materials suggesting you’re no longer the vendor of choice, note that your CEO knows theirs, and draft an exec-to-exec note.

The Brain Never Left the Deal

The Aligned Brain powers it all. It took our team more than a year to build, and it’s the reason the agent can answer in seconds.

The Brain continuously reads every call, email, CRM update, calendar event and buyer action in the room. That’s 19x more deal data than a call recorder or CRM captures alone. It learns based on the individual deal, how your company sells, and what’s working across the market. It never has to catch up, because it never left.

Other tools split asking from acting into separate modes or windows. With the Seller Agent, a rep asks what to do next and tells it to do it in the same thread.

Some teams prefer to work inside their own AI assistant, so the Brain runs on two surfaces. The Seller Agent handles the full loop in the room. The Aligned MCP server brings the same deal intelligence into Claude, ChatGPT and Glean. Later this quarter, teams will also connect their playbooks and build skills, so every executive summary and calculator follows the company’s own format.

Now, sellers can walk out of every meeting with the follow-up done, the room current and a clear read on what moves the deal. Customer success managers running 15 live rooms stop losing valuable time to upkeep. Onboarding plans, QBRs and renewals update with one prompt per room or none at all. One workflow runs in the place reps and buyers already work, pulling from approved content and visible to leadership. Adoption stops being a change-management project.

The Seller Agent doesn’t replace your CRM. The CRM still tracks and reports on deals, while the agent is the execution layer that moves them.

AI Inside the Deal Beats AI Next to It

Every other category got its system of action years ago. Designers got Figma and project teams got Asana, while sales got admin tools built for managers. With the Seller Agent, sales gets a system where the work happens, with an agent doing that work alongside the rep.

Everyone else built AI that talks about deals; we built something that runs them. And when your best rep finds a play that works, it can easily become how the whole team sells.

In other words, everyone else gave every rep an AI. We gave the team one.

See it live. Join our reveal on Wednesday, Oct. 14 or book a demo, and we’ll run the Seller Agent on one of your real deals.
