1.2. The Services We Provide. We provide a platform (“Platform“) that enables our customers to create collaborative workspaces and manage their sales processes (the “Services“). Our customers’ (“Customers“) personnel use the platform to interact with potential customers (“Buyers“). When Buyers use our Platform to engage with our Customers, the applicable Customer acts as a separate controller of the Buyers’ personal data, and such use is also subject to the customer’s own privacy notice, as may be made available to Buyer.
1.3. Our Role: Controller and Processor. Certain data protection laws, including the laws in the EU, differentiate between a party that determines why and how personal data is processed (called a “controller”) and a party that processes personal data solely on the controller’s behalf and according to the controller’s instructions (called a “processor”). We are the controller with respect to the processing described in this Privacy Notice. We also process certain personal data on behalf of our Customers for the provision of our Services. In such cases, we serve as a processor and the applicable Customer is the Controller. Such processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement (available at https://alignedup.com/dpa/), which covers any data from systems integrated by the controller to the Platform (except as set forth in this Privacy Notice), and applies to different types of processing activities that are not covered by this Privacy Notice. If you have any questions about such processing, please contact the applicable Customer.
